Terms of Service
SubCav is operated by Coding Cavalry, LLC. These terms cover the SubCav mobile app and the SubCav website, which share the same account.
SubCav is free
SubCav is free to use. There are no subscriptions, no paid tiers, no advertising, and no charge for any feature. We do not ask for payment information and we do not process payments.
Who can use SubCav
SubCav accounts are for adults. Coaches, team managers, and other adults responsible for a team may create an account. Parents and spectators do not need an account to view a shared game, schedule, or statistics link.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us at support@subcav.com if you believe someone else has access to it.
Information you enter about other people
This is the most important section. SubCav lets you store player names, jersey numbers, photos, and parent or guardian contact details. That information belongs to those families, not to us and not to you.
You are responsible for having permission to enter it. Before you add a parent’s phone number and tick the SMS consent box, you must have that parent’s agreement to receive text messages from SubCav on your behalf. Before you upload a photo of a child, you must have permission from that child’s parent or guardian.
You can read more about how SMS consent works on our Proof of Consent page.
We recommend entering as little as you need. First names or jersey numbers are usually enough to run a game.
Photos you upload
Photos you upload stay yours. You give us permission to store and display them within SubCav so your team can see them. We do not use your photos for advertising, we do not sell them, and we do not share them outside your team.
Acceptable use
Do not use SubCav to store information about people who have not agreed to it, upload content you do not have the right to share, send messages to people who have not consented to receive them, attempt to access another coach’s team or data, or interfere with the service. We may suspend or close an account that does these things.
SubCav is a tool, not an official record
SubCav tracks playing time, scores, and substitutions to help you run a game. It is a coaching aid. It is not an official timekeeping or scorekeeping system, and it is not a substitute for your league’s own records or your own judgment on the sideline. Clocks can drift, phones run out of battery, and connections drop. Do not rely on SubCav as the authoritative record of a match.
The service is provided as it is
We work hard to keep SubCav working and accurate, but we provide it as it is, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that it will always be available, error free, or uninterrupted.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Coding Cavalry, LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of SubCav, including disputes about playing time, lost data, or missed games. Because SubCav is provided free of charge, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us, which is nothing.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Changes
We may update SubCav and these terms over time. If we make a significant change to these terms, we will update this page. Continuing to use SubCav after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Ending your account
You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time. See our Delete Your Account page for how to request this. We may close an account that breaches these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, and any dispute will be handled in the courts of that jurisdiction.
