SubCav SMS Proof of Consent

At SubCav, we understand the importance of responsible communication and are firmly committed to prioritizing parental consent above all else, even if it means less convenience for coaches. We take the issue of unsolicited messaging very seriously. SubCav utilizes SMS text messaging solely to deliver essential game notifications to parents and guardians of youth soccer players. This page outlines the explicit consent process we have in place to ensure responsible messaging practices.

To maintain the highest standards of consent, coaches are required to obtain verifiable permission from parents or guardians before adding them to the SMS notification list. When adding a parent or guardian to a player’s roster entry, coaches must affirmatively check a consent box to confirm they have obtained direct consent from the parent/guardian to receive SMS notifications for game-related updates (shown here). By checking this box, coaches attest to having secured explicit consent and acknowledge their responsibility to ensure parents understand the purpose of the messages and how to opt-out. SubCav maintains a zero-tolerance policy for sending SMS messages without proper consent, and coaches who violate this policy may face account suspension or termination.

Parents and guardians retain complete control over their messaging preferences and can opt-out of receiving SMS messages at any time by simply replying “STOP” to any message. Alternatively, they may contact SubCav support directly at support@subcav.com to request removal from the SMS notification list. SubCav automatically processes “STOP” replies, immediately unsubscribing the phone number and maintaining detailed records of all opt-out requests for compliance purposes.

SubCav is deeply committed to protecting the privacy of our users. We store phone numbers securely and will never share them with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers are used exclusively for delivering essential game-related notifications. Furthermore, if a new player joins a team mid-season or if a parent or guardian changes their phone number, the coach is required to repeat the consent process to ensure continued compliance.

SubCav is dedicated to adhering to all applicable SMS messaging regulations, including TCPA and CTIA guidelines. We regularly review our messaging practices to guarantee ongoing compliance. For any questions or concerns regarding our SMS messaging practices, please do not hesitate to contact us at support@subcav.com.
